The village is perched on a hill, with Peña Montañesa (Highland Rock) in its background. It is preserved exactly as it was originally built in the 16th century, though we find some enlarged and refurbished buildings. It was a stronghold in former times.
Here, we can find the most ancient house in Sobrarbe County, Casa Coronas, dated 1519, in Santa Cruz St. This street ends in a blind corner, with vaulted passageways linking Casa Lueza with Casa Salvador.
The 16th century Aragonese-Gothic style church is devoted to the Holy Cross. Its 16th century tower is remarkable, standing up at the foot of the church. It has a square plan, four levels, loopholes and it is topped by a esconjuradera.
The church has a rectangular vaulted nave, with five chapels on the sides. The doorway opens under a Roman arch, with fluted pilasters, triangular pediment and a carved head of Christ. We can also visit the hermitages devoted to St. Anne, St. Joseph and St. Barbara.
