Description

This lies in the Pera area on the right bank of the River Vero next to the Gallinero-Escaleretas site, above Escaleretas station.

The site consists of three consecutive small caves: Fajana de Pera I, II and Superior (the last of which is the highest at an altitude of 740 metres).

Fajana de Pera I

Small cave measuring 10x2 m with finger marks and blots in a reddish hue. Pictorial traces that are largely missing and poorly defined forms.

Fajana de Pera II

Situated after Fajana de Pera I, this small cave is some 25 m long and has a maximum depth of 6 m. It is closed off by means of a wall built to form an enclosure for livestock.

The cave contains finger marks and blots in a reddish hue. Pictorial traces that are largely missing and poorly defined forms.

Fajana de Pera Superior

Situated at a higher altitude than Fajana de Pera I and II, it is reached by climbing up from the lower caves across a scree slope. It is also possible to descend from La Selva de Lecina at the top of the cliff.

The cave measures approximately 15 m in length and has a maximum depth of 6 m. It contains numerous finger marks and two doubtful anthropomorphs that are in a poor state of preservation.
